About 200 thousand dollars worth of precious metals, jewelry and cash have
been stolen from a Ridgway woman.

Police say a safe was stolen from the home of 70-year-old Margaret Buhler
late Sunday morning or early in the afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgway barracks.

Editor's Note: I know it's not Cameron County, but it's close enough and big
enough to mention. This is a huge burglary!

Would like to add that it was a Ridgway man that was responsible for this robbery...seemed like a nice guy, but found out later on that he was under investigation for poaching...his house ended up burnt to the ground (along with all his firearms, which means no links to bullets used to kill the animals), now he robs a little old lady. moral of the story is...never trust anybody...
