Emporium is getting ready to hire a new Police Chief. Borough Council excused the public as they met in executive session last week to discuss the hiring.

Former Chief Al Neyman will be serving as Cameron County Sherriff.

Emporium Borough Council President James Slusarick says 10 applicants were considered. Now four are left, and they’ve each been interviewed. A decision is expected to come soon.
