Press release...

If you love folk tales, urban legends and family anecdotes, then you will
want to be at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library in Emporium on
Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. “All Stories are True- and Some Have Actually
Happened” will be presented by Kelly Armor, a commonwealth speaker. The
Pennsylvania Humanities Council, supported by a grant from the Pa. Council
on the Arts, is providing this free public program.
Armor will speak on how most stories from tradition aren't concerned with
literal truth but rather they reflect truths about the human condition and
culture. Participants will hear a variety of folk tales, urban legends and
family anecdotes and then have a chance to share their own stories, jokes
and songs that they have heard themselves that may have been handed down
through generations.

Armor's presentation is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council
(PHC), supported in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Council on the Arts. The Cameron County Genealogy Club has arranged for this
community event and the Barbara Moscato Brown Library has provided a
location. This is a free event that will be open to the public.
