About 200 thousand dollars worth of precious metals, jewelry and cash have
been stolen from a Ridgway woman.

Police say a safe was stolen from the home of 70-year-old Margaret Buhler
late Sunday morning or early in the afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ridgway barracks.

Editor's Note: I know it's not Cameron County, but it's close enough and big

Police Warn of Scam

Pennsylvania State Police are reminding area residents they don’t conduct
over-the-phone fundraising campaigns. This reminder is a response to
several citizen complaints about charity donation calls for the state
police.

Any calls claiming to be a state police supported fund-raising campaign
should be reported as a possible scam.
