State Senator Joe Scarnati has announced more than 700 thousand dollars in grant money to help crime victims in his district. Scarnati says the bulk of the funds come from penalties paid by offenders; not tax dollars. Here's the breakdown of how much each county is set to receive:

WESB.com reports: News: 01/05/07 - Spill-Affected Stream to be Stocked State Representative Martin Causer says the Fish and Boat Commission will be stocking the stream that was affected by last summer's train derailment. He says he hopes people will be able to fish there this spring. On June 30, 16 cars of a Norfolk Southern train derailed, spilling more than 40 thousand gallons of sodium hydroxide into the Sinnemahoning-Portage Creek. The DEP has ordered Norfolk Southern to clean up the area. from WESB.com
