As Christina Lindley draws near the career million-dollar mark, her face is already famous around the world – her poker face, that is. As an elite poker coach and professional actor, Lindley has worn a few hats in her life, but she says she loves gambling more than any other career. She learned to play poker from her Father, not a bad place to start, if you want a parent to bless your career.
Her grandmother played serious bridge and her father played board games, firing a thrill of the win in Christina. When a slick magazine photographer saw her in a department store, he recognized talent and took photos for the cover of a teen magazine, and that led to modeling, and from there she went on to acting. She has worked as a fitness guru too.
According to sources, the long and difficult writers’ strike in Hollywood six years ago forced her to take time off from acting. She returned home, but her folks had divorced, so she visited them separately. She felt uncomfortable with her estranged Dad, so they went to a casino to play poker and have some laughs. It renewed her interest in her father, and in gaming.
Back in Hollywood, she discovered the local poker scene and started playing. The success really started the next year when she showed up at the World Series of Poker for Women. With the million-dollar mark under her belt, Lindley is reportedly happy with the hat she is wearing.
