American Idol fans should get ready to call in their votes tonight if they
want to help a girl with local connections get to the next round.

Ayla Brown is from Massachusetts, but has relatives in Olean and
Shinglehouse.

Her grandfather, Bruce Brown, grew up in Shinglehouse. His cousin Joanne
Aloi of Olean is a teacher at Smethport Elementary School.
