John Rigas’ attorney appeared in court last week, asking for charges against
him to be thrown out. Rigas’ lawyers say the terms used by the accountants
that testified were not properly explained to the jury. John Rigas was
sentenced to 15 years in prison, and his son was sentenced to serve 20
years. They are out, pending an appeal of their case.
