WFRM reports:
Heath Evingham of Oswayo escaped injury at around 4:00 p.m. when his Ford truck hit some guardrails and a guard rail post on the East Branch of Fishing Creek, about three miles north of Roulette. The truck spun around about 90 degrees before coming to rest. Troopers said Evingham will be cited for failing to drive a safe speed.

WFRM reports: State police locally are probing a hit and run taking place Saturday night in the parking lot of the Friendly Inn on Main Street in the village of Roulette. An unknown vehicle backed into a Chevy Astro Van owned by Barbara Martin of Roulette, causing minor damage to the left front fender and turn signal.

WFRM reports: An Austin woman escaped injury Tuesday afternoon when she jumped out of her car as it slid out of control on the East Fork Road just north of the Wharton Tavern in Wharton Township. State police said Megan Fry was headed south when her 2006 Toyota Corolla went out of control . After Fry jumped, the sedan went down an embankment and hit a tree where it came to rest. Authorities say charges are pending completion of their investigation.

WFRM reports: DUI charges are pending against 37 year old Daniel Shimkanin of Ulysses following a one-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Route 49 near the Post Office in the village of Mills. State police said Shimkanin’s Pontiac Sunfire traveled off the road and struck a tree and that he left the car on the roadway. Authorities claim when they caught up to Shimkanin, they found him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to Charles Cole Hospital for chemical testing and police say he received minor injuries in the crash.
